What is the Lead Time

Lead time varies from product to product, but generally speaking it’s 2-3 weeks for the regular stuff.  What’s the regular stuff?  The spouts, the basic designs, and what you would consider the conservative products, the really elaborate stuff takes a little longer, maybe 4-5 weeks total.  If you have special requirements and a tight timeline please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can it be Customized?

Yes, we can do custom work, price varies from piece to piece and depends on what you want done.  To get a started we’ll need a drawing, a sketch, a picture, something to work with.  We’ll look it over and contact you, usually by phone, and the process goes forward from there through the normal quoting process. 

What is Finishing?

We produce metal products, castings, some fabrication, in what you would consider a rough environment.  For us to grind, hammer, and cut is a normal part of our day.  When we are done, we have a completely functional product, not a beautiful product.  The finisher, is responsible for the final process of cleaning, buffing, polishing, plating, applying the patina, and finally sealing the product, before we deliver it to you.  Depending on the requested finish, it can take as little as a few days, to a few weeks.

Is the finish paint?

No, the finish is not paint, far from it.  Our finishes are typically a patina, which is a polite way of saying pretty rust.  Some finishes are more complex that others, requiring a combination of plating, applying a patina, buffing off selective areas of patina, and then applying a different patina, to get a special effect.  It’s actually quite elaborate, labor intensive, and definitely not paint.

I don't like to color, now what?

We can always have something refinished, just send it back and we can make it a new color for the price of the finish, plus return shipping.  We’re not saying that finishing is free, but for many of our items it’s a very small cost compared to the item, so all things considered, it’s not a big issue.  And of course we'll do our best to accommodate you, so if you have any questions please let us know.

Can I return it?

Yes, you can return the product.  You can check our terms and conditions page for official guidelines.  We also realize we sell a custom specialty product and sometimes, there just needs to be a little leeway on the rules for returns,  if you have one of those odd conditions, just contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I get a Sales Tax Exemption

Yes you can, all you have to do is become a reseller, with is a fairly easy process, we ask a couple questions, get a copy of the appropriate form and you’re all set, plus you save some money.

We are located in California, so technically we do not charge sales tax for any other state at this time, but laws are changing fast.  We use a special tax program for the site that keeps track of this and charges the proper tax for the situation.  To avoid any tax being applied to your orders in the future, we encourage out of state resellers submit the proper reseller permit for your area now and avoid an issue later.
